Even if you are disabled or height challenged there is one place worth looking into.

The company name is Primerica. Although it has been around for 33 years most people have not heard of it. To begin with, it sells insurances like auto & home. Then to the next level is selling life insurance, then the next level is remortgaging your home.

This all sounds common enough, but Primerica does not advertise. The auto and home insurance and other plans they sell are almost always less expensive than what you currently have, although that can never be a promise. You just dig out your current policy, call the number they give you and tell the contact person the code of the Primerica person who introduced you to the plan and you will get a direct quote from one of many predominate companies. My wife and I were with Geico and were switched to another major company into their Platinum Club with extra features more than what we had and we saved $150 every six months with just carrying the state required basic auto insurance. It was an additional $10 per month to add our motorhome later. What you get will not be what we have now. The rates and features change hourly. So if you call and it will save you a lot of money, then you should be prepared to switch right then. If you wait and call back later, it will be a different quote.

You are not just sold term life insurance by Primerica. They teach you how to read your current life insurance policy and explain what you really have. You will learn to make good choices; and, it is always your choice. Most people are convinced that a life insurance policy with a cash account is the best way to go. However, you are never told some things about that cash account on your policy. For one thing, it is not your money no matter what you are told. It belongs to the company. For instance, after a few years the cash part of the policy begins to build. Later, if you need to borrow some of that money, it must be paid back, by law, at 6% to 8% interest. Since companies like to make money, they most usually charge the 8% allowed by law. Another thing about that money is that if you borrow from that cash account and then die, the amount borrowed plus the interest is removed from the face value of your policy. Another thing about being dead is that when someone comes along to take care of your policy they are given the choice of the value of your life insurance policy or the value of the cash account attached to the policy. They will never be given both, Never.
The reason term insurance is better is that you can get more and Primerica, at last check could write a policy for up to 35 years. Why is that better? If you have a mortgage for say $130,000 and you are paying for the next 25 years you have two things going on. If you have a regular insurance plan with cash option you may be paying $300 per month to carry it and the value of the insurance plan is far less than your mortgage. So if one spouse dies, the other cannot even come close to having a good life, the major balance of the mortgage will still be there. However with term insurance, it can cover the mortgage with good planning, the type of planning your Primerica agent will teach you.

Primerica agent will also teach you proper investment. You will learn the “Rule of 72” something you may never have heard of. You will be taught how to invest in mutual funds that may reach 12% interest, meaning with the rule of 72, your investment would double every four years. It is never cut & dry like that, but similar investments have routinely been set up.

If you allow a Primerica Agent to show you how to handle your current primary mortgage very often people find they can reduce both the monthly cost and the length of the contract.

Primerica has a stated policy of helping people. Google Primerica and your local town name and find out the phone number of an office. From there ask them to drop by your home and discuss this.

Now if you are interested in working there, a few things are important. By state and federal law you cannot be a felon. To find this out and verify your status, (currently) there is a $99 fee for the background check and you are presented with the option of opening an internet office. This office is full of training information keeps track of your progress in the company especially for bonuses and costs $25 per month. It is well worth it. You will attend a two day school (usually Saturday-Sunday) that is free and the course materials are designed to make it easy for you to pass your state insurance license exam. I took the two day course, studied for an extra week to soak in the information, went to Boise and took the state test and passed the first time. I had to take in with me $120 cash. It was $60 for the state exam and once passed it was $60 for the fingerprinting and FBI check that the state requires. Once the state issued me the license I took it to my Primerica office and Primerica reimbursed me for the $120.

That sums it up. If you are not a felon, and need a job, it is worth checking into.

Use the Kitchen before the Doctor!

Kitchen Medicine Cabinet

This blog talks about curing the root causes of many problems. Consider the costly meds for Neuropathy, PAD, Gout, Arthritis, Pain Control, Diabetes, MS, Alzheimer's, or Athsma. For these problems and more, depending on the individual, the root cause can be addressed very cheaply and the problem will either be put into remission or vanished completely.

There are so many ways to help medicate yourself and many times do this without leaving the average kitchen.
My favorite all time medication in the kitchen is usually found in the fridge. It is French’s bright yellow mustard. To make it bright yellow, French’s added herbs. These herbs control muscle and joint pain, or pains in general. If you have over-done it and expect to be sore in the morning, take two heaping teaspoons before bed. Then you wake up in the morning pain free. If you are in pain, any pain, take two heaping teaspoons and within usually two hours, you have no pain or at least reduced greatly. If you are a woman planning on getting a mammography, take two heaping teaspoons an hour before going in for the compression. You will come out of it with a whole lot less pain.
Now this you may have in your kitchen, but you would be better off if you buy a kit for making your own capsules. Most herbal stores have the inexpensive devices to compress the ingredients into the capsules and the capsules themselves are cheap. So what would you compress into these capsules from the kitchen? Let us start with cayenne. It is the spice for making good chili and other “warm” foods. When compressed into a capsule and taken, it fortifies the arterial walls and causes the body to produce capillaries at over 100 times faster than the body normally makes them. Do your fingers and toes get chilled easy in the winter? Then you do not have enough capillaries circulating blood in your hands and feet. Do you have neuropathy or PAD? Take several cayenne capsules a day with plenty of water and get rid of the problem. Do you have water retention in your legs? Do you have gout? Take the cayenne. You just need better blood circulation to pull it out. Do you have kidneys with problems? Take the cayenne. Do you have stomach ulcers and other intestinal problems? OK, maybe you believed in doctors and had stomach problems and you got the little purple capsules to take. You take them and feel better, but eventually you have to take them again because stomach medications like the little purple one cut off stomach acid production which means that any food you eat will not be broken down into its molecular bits to be absorbed by the villi in the intestines. The larger bits of food will plug up the villi. You are starving yourself. Doctors do not call it purple crack for nothing. You get dependant on it and get sicker in other ways that the doctor can make other prescriptions for. Forget the meds and take the cayenne. The cayenne will also clean the villi so you can absorb nutrients again. Just drink plenty of water.
I like cinnamon toast, so I have cinnamon in the kitchen. Cinnamon also heals the pancreas. It makes the pancreas work better at producing the correctly folded molecules of insulin. As long as the cinnamon is in the blood stream, the pancreas is making new cells to handle the insulin. Want to keep those new cells? Well, you need to feed them. The way to feed the new cells so they stay around is to add cayenne to the cinnamon. Then the pancreas makes new cells and the cayenne makes new capillaries to feed them. It is that easy and inexpensive.
My wife went to a low cost clinic after months of eating only cream of mushroom soup and was eventually told two things: (1) your gall bladder is only working at 10%, is diseased and needs to be removed, and (2) since you do not have health insurance we need $32,000 to do the surgery. You can bet that was a dark day in her life. It was also the last time she believed in doctors. I told her I could heal her if she wanted healed. I went into the back yard and cut small twigs off of the American Linden Tree. The twigs with new bark and small leaves contain the medicine. I ground them up and put them in capsules. She started taking the capsules full of "tree" from the back yard and within a few days she was able to eat more foods. In a week she was having no more pains, and in a month her gall bladder was working just fine. This is a case of taking care of nature, because you may need nature to take care of you.

Something you should keep in your kitchen but likely do not is Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. Extra Virgin just indicates how the oil was extracted. It was extracted with pressure only, and no chemicals were used. Would you believe that between bananas and Extra Virgin Coconut Oil you would have all the nutrients you need to be alive? The banana is an enigma by itself. It is the perfect human food. The pealing contains anti-cancer compounds. It can be found throughout the tropical regions even in the most remote of areas and islands, and some variations of the banana that are more cold tolerant have spread beyond the tropics. But bananas have no seeds and are difficult to transplant by root. Go figure. In the northern latitudes it is hard to grow bananas. But there is a secondary fruit that is indiginous to North America that has the same chemistry and flavor as the banana. It is the Paw-Paw. All other fruit trees came from other parts of the world. In the case of the Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, there are many things it can do for you. Let me name a few: Should be a major part of any weight loss routine, reverses or cures the following: dementia, Alzheimer’s, Asperger’s syndrome, ADD (and similar letter combinations referring to attention) and MS. You need to take it at the rate of two tablespoons every eight hours. It only stays in the body for eight hours and any more than two tablespoons, unless you are overweight, may go to waste. What it does for you is rebuild brain synapses, replace nerve cells, replace lost nerve cells, and replaces the myelin coating that protects the nerves. There is currently no word on whether it helps with spinal injuries, but it should. It contains the sequential molecular chains needed to unlock fat cells. It keeps the body from shedding the three important items that a majority of Americans are low on: vitamin D3, Chromium and Magnesium. This means that if you build these up to the levels your body needs, you are more likely to be able to maintain these if taking the Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. What your body needs is not necessarily what the USDA levels on the bottle say they are. It is an individual thing. Most of the minimum levels printed are chosen to keep you needing meds.
There are other good things to know that are not directly related to the Kitchen. One is that anytime you have indigestion, besides a cayenne capsule, take some Acidophilus. There are very few indigestion problems or Irritable Bowl Syndromes that several acidophilus tablets will not cure. Taking any other thing like the pink stuff, Tums or Rolaids, you are making the problem worse by just pushing it down the intestinal tract further. Once again, they reduce the acid content of the stomach causing all the problems listed way above. Anytime you are put on antibiotics take several acidophilus each day you take the antibiotics and then for a few more days past that. Antibiotics kill both the good and the bad bacteria in the body and the bad ones come back faster unless you are supporting the good ones. If you are a woman with vaginal yeast infections, it means the bad bacteria are in charge. Before the next yeast infection start taking the acidophilus, whithin a few a days you will have no more infections. Just keep it up periodically.
Another thing Cayenne is good for is more and more important these days. Anyone with a heart condition or the elderly are being prescribed massive amounts of blood thinners. When these people trip or fall and cut themselves, even a little, it bleeds profusely and not even direct pressure will slow the bleeding; however, if you carry a small jar of cayenne with you and whether you are that patient or just a bystander, dump it on the wound, cover with gauze & tape and it will seal immediately and heal properly. (Remember, cayenne in the blood produces capillaries which is how we heal.)
If you have elderberries in your region it is an excellent idea to spend a weekend in the summer to pick and freeze some. The skin of the elderberry is a very potent virus killer. So if you or a family member catches a virus, just make some elderberry flap jacks. In my case, I have elderberry syrup ready every year. I just shake it to get the skin flakes in every pour.
If you have usnea in your area, gather it in the Fall, and use to make tea in the winter. One cup of usnea tea a week keeps away the rhinoviruses, all of them, and strep. Don’t know usnea? In some areas it is called witches hair and in other areas called old mans beard. It is grayish-black hairy and hangs from trees, usually conifer trees. When you make the tea, drink it straight. If you add any sweeteners or sugar substitutes it will destroy the benefits of the tea. When you make the tea, bring your water to a boil with green tea bags in it. Once at a boil, turn off and take off the burner. After it has cooled for ten minutes, add a wad of usnea and let it soak until cool. Strain and put in jars and store in the fridge. Bring out one cup per person once a week and heat on the stove until warm. Do not boil. Usnea contains enzymes just like yogurt and you don’t want to kill them. In the body they support the immune system totally. If you are going to take the usnea for something you already have, like a cold or strep, then take no more than two cups a day and no more than six cups a week—it is simply that strong. It is a natural anti-viral and anti-bacterial. If you take the usnea insure you also take two or three tablets of Acidophilus every day you are taking the tea.

Usnea has many, many uses. Here is one I want to share with you, especially young women. Remember it is antibacterial? Remember it hangs like long hair from evergreens? In a pinch you can weave it together, like a multi-braiding, and use it for a menstal pad that will fight off any infections. It is extremely sanitary.

My bride has athsma. When we married she moved in with what looked like half of a pharmacy. I got her off of the big pharma meds and on to just a handful of herbal type products. For her asthma she takes two 500mg tablets of L-Arginine a day and says her asthma is better controlled now than ever before. She used to be in the ER twice a year for breathing problems. Now it has been 6 years since she has had any major problem, and just a few times a year we hear that "cough" and I run out to the porch and grab a few mint leaves for her to chew on and no asthma problems develop.

She also has Rhumatoid Arthritis seemingly in every joint. For that she takes Standardized Cat's Claw. Has to be the standardized version. She has no arthritic pains. Well, not entirely true, some weather events will trigger that "arthritic strain" feeling that precedes a crippling event, and she just takes some French's Mustard to stop it.

Everyone in the US, except for nudists, are low on Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol). You need to take 3000 iu to 5000 iu supplement every day. You will hear many fancy doctors publishing articles about how nobody needs the sunshine vitamin. (sunshine on the skin produces Vitamin D3 via many chemical steps) The Vitamin D in milk is D2 and if you do not have the correct enzymes to change it to D3 it does you no good. Only about half the humans on earth have the necessary enzymes. The reason the mainstream medical establishment stomps on Vitamin D3 so much is that if your levels are up where they should be, you cannot get the flu and colds are seldom or not at all. Vitamin D3 supercharges your immune system.

A lot of people do not like Lysol Disinfectant Spray. Some people do like it or just use it for spraying dark damp areas, like the laundry hamper when empty. Anyone who gets athletes foot infections should keep the spray on hand. All the commercial treatments say things like "WILL CURE IN JUST ONE WEEK!" Well, if you get a touch of athletes foot, spray the Lysol on your feet/toes until it drips, put on a sock, go to bed, and when you get up in the morning the problem is gone. Anytime you are dealing with a fungus infection, the Lysol spray will cure it in just hours. Getting the fungus under the toe nails? Mix Lysol liquid cleaner with a bit of flour to make a yucky paste and put on the affected nails. Cover with a big bandaid over the pasted nail and then a sock and retreat until the toe nail fungus is gone. In all fungus cases, be sure to use the Lysol spray inside your shoes and slippers, and also in the shower around the drain where the fungus likes to hide.

If I think of more easy health fixes, I will remove this sentence and add them. Contact me at rmattwho@yahoo.com and put Kitchen Fixes in the subject line.

My Short Story Memories

No Other Place for Miscellaneous

While I am spending this winter not yet working, I am catching up with my writing. Many times I will write about a topic and have more than just this blog to put it in. For instance, when my wife and I saw a possible UFO I wrote it up and posted here and the national UFO register, allowing others to decide for themselves what it was. Some things like my Fish & Game research, like the Wolf Knows, would only be posted here, but I send copies out to people who may have missed the real impact of the true knowledge. However there are some things that are a part of my life that simply have no place to be other than here, and are so strange that it might scare people here too. Just keep in mind these short items are something that I lived through or experienced. Something real to me and therefore a part of the total of whom I am. “Cognito Ergo Sum, We are the sum total of our experiences…”

The Bedroom Visitor

One afternoon when I lived in Santa Anna, southern California, I decided to do some reading and went to the bedroom, propped up some pillows and began reading the first book in the "Illearth" series. After a while I began feeling like I was being watched, even though I knew I was alone in the apartment.

I dropped the book down slowly and standing at the foot of the bed was a girl in a bright red dress and she appeared to be about six or seven. She looked similar to my daughter at that age. I started to ask her the silly question of "who are you?" and she took some steps backward and backed up towards the wall on my right. When she got to the dresser, she backed into it and totally vanished. It was a new and tall dresser. So it must have actually been the wall she was moving to.

I had seen dark shapes moving around in haunted houses, and I had seen the glowing globes move around in old buildings before. But a full view of a girl looking as solid as you or me and then vanishing?! I was shaken for quite a while. I saw a ghost of a girl in an apartment complex that was only about 20 years old. I can assure you, ghosts do exist.

The Only Stranger

In all my life I have seen this only once. I am a people watcher which is really good to help build profiles of characters for writing fiction. In September of 1982 I was in the Navy and had just rented a small apartment in downtown Vallejo, California. From the apartment it was a five block walk to a park along a finger of San Pablo Bay. One late afternoon I was walking from my apartment on Georgia Street west towards the bay. When I got to the intersection of Georgia Street and Sacramento Street I was walking along the north side of the intersection. On the light I crossed the street to the northwest corner and paused to look around. My attention was immediately drawn to a man standing on the southeast corner of the same intersection. There were many people walking around the intersection including a lot of auto traffic surging with the red and green of the stop lights. Even when you now play games online, the characters are programmed with ever so slight movement, even when standing still, to imitate reality. This man I saw seemed to be in his late 50’s by appearance and the way he was dressed, but he was distinctly not moving. I could not see that he was breathing, nor was there ever a shuffle of his feet. His eyes were unblinking and his hands unmoving. Many people were walking past him, or more correctly around him completely. You know that thing about we all have “space” around us that we do not like to have entered unless by someone we know? Well the space around this man was three feet in any direction, and unthinkingly, people were giving him exactly that much space as they moved around him on the sidewalk. I have been using the term “man” to identify this person, but I remember that a different term came to mind at that time. It was vampire. He definitely was not an average person, not even close. As I watched him his gaze was somewhat to the northeast of where he was standing. When the thought came to me “vampire,” his gaze slowly changed smoothly from what he may have been looking at, directly to me. He made eye to eye contact taking my breath away. I was frozen in place staring at him and it seemed nothing else existed. There were just his cold dark steady eyes looking into mine. I have no idea how much time went by like this, but suddenly he was gone. Think of it. Cold dark unblinking eyes staring into yours, locking your attention and then no eyes, no man and no comfortable feelings. I decided to rush back to my apartment. I am sure I slept with an extra pillow over my head that night for safety. Was he just an elderly gentleman who seemed different, or something else? You decide. I saw him and he was real just as I have written it here. These kinds of memories just won’t shake loose from the mind. He was the only real stranger I have ever seen.

Who am I?

I suppose many people wonder about that. For me, it seems just as important as ‘What’s for dinner?” important, to be sure, but not that important. Along the way I have been given some small clues, and some really strong clues. I have some memories that go back to age 2. At age 3 my grandmother started training me about the earth force and herbs. At age five my first father died. In the second grade my favorite book was House Wiring Diagrams and Regulations for the United States. I loved that book and still remember a lot of the content. In the fourth grade I would go to the city dump and collect discarded radios. At that time it was all vacuum tubes. I would use good tubes from one radio to fix another then take the good radios door to door selling them for a dollar. That supplemented my ten cents a week allowance. In high school my allowance was twenty- five cents a week for doing chores before and after school like feeding chickens and slopping the hogs, and I supplemented my allowance by fixing radios and TV’s. Back then most people still had black and white Portable TV’s, meaning they were on a stand that could be rotated around to point to the living room or the kitchen for all three channels.
At high school graduation in Emmett, Idaho, it was war time. President Johnson had just cancelled tuition assistance for poor farmboys like me. That meant with the draft, every young man without money for college would go into the military, generally for a one way trip to Viet Nam. The year was 1967. To avoid the draft, at age 17 my mother signed me up for the Marines in an aviation program. During my Marine years and later Navy years, many times my life would be in danger and sudden things would happen to prevent problems. People shot at me and missed or hit my radio equipment. A group of young men with knives surrounded me and a patrol jeep suddenly showed up. Things like that happened all the time. In 1998 I was stung by a bald faced hornet and totally reacted to the venom. Within 10 minutes my heart stopped and I died. I was running into the light and a woman appeared and stopped me. She said “it’s not your time yet, you have much to do.” I always thought family would meet you at the light, but I had no clue as to who this person was. Two years later, at the age of 50, I found out I had been adopted.
During all this time I had many considerable psychic abilities. Since I died, these abilities have continued to improve. I know now that I am an Indigo Adult. Although I do not know my future, I know that I will be ready when the time comes.

I ONCE WONDERED

August 2010

It was that story on the History Channel about the “rods” found by cameras. It was 1994 and Jose Escamilla's story was big news. While filming parachutists jumping into a deep, vertical cave near San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Mark Lichtle who is a professional cameraman noticed the rods when playing back his film in slow motion. Lichtle saw numerous rods darting in and out of the frame and flying around the base jumpers as they fell through the air. Articles you may read will say the rods have been found in every country, in different geological areas from swamps to deserts, and I know they are in Idaho. If you read anything that says they do not exist, just ignore those people.

Not too long ago a local business caught fire. It was a pallet refurbishing company so the fire was great. We heard the sirens and went out on the porch looking south. Using Google Earth ™, the distance from our house to the wall of smoke was 920 feet. The burning pallets were just to the right (or west) of our line of sight. The wind was blowing due east at about 15 mph. Since it was late evening and dark, the smoke was well lighted from the burning wood. While we watched, something plowed through the burning embers and smoke from the west at a great speed and vanished once it was out of the smoke to the east. The object was traveling fast, but not so fast that we couldn’t see it.

Once again, using Google Earth ™ to make angular measurements, determine distances, and where the travel of the object was located, I came up with these facts. The Rod was traveling from west to east at a distance from us of 920 feet. We saw it for three seconds. It was traveling at about 50 mph. . My guess is, and it makes sense, the rods travel much faster in the sunlight than in the dark. The Rod was about 10 feet long and was a cylinder at about one foot diameter and with rounded blunt ends. It clearly had three sets of fins. They were not wings but had more the appearance of vibrating fins, one set within a foot of each end and one set in the middle. The Rod appeared from the right side of our view and on the left side of our view the smoke dimmed and was rising more vertically. The Rod was clearly distorting the smoke as it passed through it, and staying level at about 40 feet off the ground. The Rod exited the smoke and vanished. Without the smoke it was entirely invisible. It flew level and with a constant speed. My wife and I spend many nights in our chairs outside looking at the stars. At no time have we ever seen a Rod, but I think now they are there.

Sighting location: 43º 43’ 16” N , 116º 42’ 43.5 W or 4.6 miles NNW of Caldwell, ID.

ODD STUFF FOUND

Some people will not like this because it is true.

There are many inconsistencies that I have found on your planet. On one side of the information reality I find that a lie or removing detail allows people to accept a story. On the other side of the reality would be the things I found which, although complicated are actually factual.

This may upset someone, but if you do not believe what I found you are more than welcome to follow each step for yourself. It starts with my first visit to Bethlehem. Going there in January meant it was not the tourist season, so getting there was a bit tough. Bethlehem sits just four miles southwest of Jerusalem, but really in a whole different world. There is an elevation difference and although Jerusalem is in Israel, Bethlehem is in an area called the West Bank. The weather in Jerusalem in January 1978 was sunny and fairly warm; however, just traveling the ten ground miles uphill (four air miles) to Bethlehem changed everything. The night before had covered Bethlehem with 14 inches of snow. Even though it was melting fast, the roads were definitely a mess.

Every tourist going to Bethlehem used to go to only one place, and that would be the Church of the Nativity built in the 4th Century. Going there, I already knew that the church was not built over the “spot” that Jesus was born. That knowledge was lost to normal people. In the 4th Century that space was a small meadow where the local pagans worshiped. To stop the Pagans, the Catholic Church, as it was at that time, built the Church of the Nativity over the meadow. The Pagans just moved four hundred feet due east of Manger Square to the next meadow, which is a Pagan Park now. When I entered the Church of the Nativity through the low arched door, four feet from the entrance there was a bronze plaque on the floor that said in several languages “This is the Spot.” Well, it actually said “This is the birthplace of Jesus and (such.)” To the right of the spot was an alter set up and to the left of the spot against the far wall there were stacked wooden folding chairs. I mentioned the low arched door. At the time the church was built, if you were five feet tall (the top of the arch) you were considered to be extraordinarily tall. The average height of people then was about four foot four for women and around four foot six for men. When you think of Jesus accurately, you must realize that is how tall he really was; about four foot six and he had olive colored skin, just like everyone else in the area. Also you may want to keep in mind that clothing was expensive and the average person wore just a single gown (long shirt with a rope at the waist) and wore no other garments.

I had the opportunity to visit Bethlehem just one year later in January 1979. That time there was only about three inches of snow on the ground and once again I entered the Church of the Nativity. (A side note here: Due to earth warming, since the mid-80’s it has only rarely snowed in Bethlehem; however, from the 70’s and before, snow was common at least once in the winter.) When I entered the church the entire interior was torn up. The Bronze “spot” was leaned up against the back wall, no chairs around, and the alter was pushed against the far right wall. Nearly all the original floorboards were torn up revealing dirt and in an area along the left wall a new floor was being placed, and tiles on top of that. Some of the back wall was knocked out revealing other rooms not usually seen by the public.

[At this point I would like to inject another experience that is more telling about modern humans and height. Like I have mentioned, I do not usually do just what tourist do. I get out, get dangerous, and learn more. In Naples Italy most tourists stick to the downtown region or take tourism busses to special sites. I hiked a lot, rode trains or busses and met lots of people. One really telling moment was early afternoon far away from any tourist traps. The street was filled with mostly women going to market. I am 5 feet 5 inches tall and at this time I noticed that I was a full head above a great majority of the people around me. The average height of the Italian women over the age of 40 would have been about 4 foot 10 inches. Just thought I would mention that.]

I returned to Bethlehem a third time just six months later, in June 1979 and the tourist busses were running and getting there was a lot easier. The buses made two stops in Bethlehem. The traditional stop at the Church of the Nativity was used and another stop at the newly commissioned Lutheran Christmas Church. The expanded church was part of an effort by the Palestinian National Authority to increase tourism, and there was a rumor of opening the Monastery to tourists. When I approached the Church of the Nativity, I saw that some stone blocks had been inserted under the arch and it was now at six feet in height making entry by modern humans a bit easier. When I entered the church I saw an all new tiled floor, the bronze plaque “spot” was moved towards a new back wall so it was about fifteen feet from the door and an all new and larger alter was installed on the right. On the left was a small curio shop.

Since it was not winter, I did not have to worry about a cabbie waiting for me to finish being a tourist. Busses were going to be running hourly all day long. So I decided to explore the area. Being the “West Bank,” Americans were being told to stay with the buses, but I always explored on my own. In fact, I found all the people I met were both friendly and spoke perfect English. I ate a meal with one family, but I have no idea what any of it was. In Panama I would eat from the street vendors selling monkey meat, but also noticed there were no stray dogs around. Well, back to the West Bank. I asked this family if there were any traditional buildings around, some that would fit in the area as easily two thousand years ago as they do now. To my amazement, they said in the next valley, leading into the Judean Desert were many traditional homes. So after the meal, that is where we hiked to.

Each traditional home was on a lot about thirty feet wide against the street and about fifty feet deep. Fencing around the lot was made up of anything the owners could gather to make a fence that livestock would not go through. Most of the animals were goats with a couple of chickens and rabbits. Centered against the street was the house at about twelve feet wide and centered on the ground floor of the house was a five foot doorway with a gate. The ground floor was the animal’s shelter along with a feeding trough with edges raised about six inches above the ground. The trough was about 4 feet long. In the traditional Christmas story, this would have been the manger. The walls were mud brick and plaster and about eight inches thick. At six feet above the ground was the underside of the first floor of the house. A ladder of sorts nailed against the wall on the right of the entrance led to a trap door. The man that I walked over with said his cousin lived there, and he knocked. The trap door opened and after a lengthy exchange of greetings, we were invited up. The bottom floor of the home had a five foot ceiling and in the back was another tacked ladder, two boards, leading to another trap door. The man I was with interpreted for me and all my questions. The house had been in the family for a few hundred years and constantly maintained. It was the tenth or twelfth house built on the same spot over many hundreds of years. He said it originally was an Inn. People would knock on the first trap door, be in out of the weather, and lay a blanket down to sleep on. When the floor was full, then no more people could stay. Above this area was the real home which was a one room living space for the family; or, about six people. There lived three adults (parents and one grandparent) and three kids. A bathroom was a bucket which was poured out the rear window with the livestock manure. So, back to the Christmas Story, when there was no room at the inn it meant that the first floor had all the sleeping people it could handle. Also, it would be one of the sleepers who would roll over and answer any knocks on the trap door.

There is only one more thing I would like to say about the Christmas Story. There is a lot more information of accuracy that you can find, but not this: Three wise men came to the birth from the East. The story says they were following a star that guided them to Bethlehem. There is very little accuracy to that part of the story. The three “wise men” were court astrologers, probably from Ur, a remnant of the Sumerian empire. In their training as astrologers they would have been very familiar with the third eye chakra meditation. The third eye, our pineal gland is the seat of the soul. It is shaped like a pinecone and is filled with vitreous humor the same as the eyes. All ancient religions and early christian religions used the pinecone symbol. Even the Pope’s staff today is topped with the pinecone symbol of the pineal gland. Learning to access your third eye vision allows you to see more than the other two eyes. In this case, the Astrologers would have at some time been meditating in the third eye and saw that as they moved their heads, a bright point of light would keep showing up. Knowing that only something very spiritual would be happening, they prepared for the trip and left about a month before the birth. That is where the guiding star was, and still is. Faint though it may be, it still exists in a valley half way between Bethlehem and Bayt Sahur. To learn more about the third eye, YouTube is full of excellent information. The development of the third eye is responsible for Indigo Adults and Crystal Children; in other words, more to look up in YouTube. This is real. Following a star in the sky is not.

If ever you get to Rome, there is one very interesting thing you can do. It is not a tourist thing. In fact, when you ride the tourist bus to any of the oldest churches, go inside and look around, but exit quickly. The churches are indeed old, but most of what is inside are copies of originals so that the originals can be protected in an underground vault. Instead, squeeze through the fences and walk around the outside of the churches. At the very lowest layer of stones that were laid as a base for the church itself, take some pictures. What you will find on those stones, kept out of public view, are images of people who are not quite like we are, images of warriors clearly fighting off what we would call dinosaurs, and many other things that are part of mythology. At least we are taught they are myth. After looking at the base stones of the oldest Christian churches, I have pause to wonder if they are mythology, or a religion purging the world of anyone not like them, and writing out of history such things as wood sprites and elves. If they did not exist except in lore, why take the trouble to engrave hard stone with their defeat fifteen centuries ago and then not allow people to see the engravings? Interestingly, the phrase knock on wood comes from the beginning of human time and referred to knocking on the wood of a tree while talking if you did not want the wood sprites living at that tree to hear what you say. Then you have the church base engravings of the Christian warriors killing the wood sprites, but the expression lived on.

In the old world I have seen several trilithons. A trilithon is a quarried stone of great weight and often placed over piers so that it could be easily 20 feet above the original ground level. They can also be used as a base for a temple. The one I saw in Malta was in a location called Flagar Qin and is the one that is 57 tons and placed 20 feet above the ground to make an entrance to a special place. Supposedly, it was built by giants (local lore) and has been dated to about 5000 B.C. or 7,000 years ago when the strongest metal made by humans was copper. When you see these stones in person it is easier to believe that giants moved the stones rather than a cave dwelling human that woke up one day and said “let’s quarry stones from 50 to 90 tons each and build a place of prayer. It will only take 10 generations to complete.” Modern tests have shown that modern humans do not have the ability to move these stones with cranes, D-9 Cats or anything else.

Another trilithon that I saw was in Lebanon at Baalbek. These three stones are cut with perfect edges, perfectly rectangular, and are over 1,000 tons each. They are the top caps of dozens of stones that are 25 tons each. So the small 25 ton stones were laid, then the three trilithons were placed on top of them to make the outer floor of a temple complex. Although the temple complex was built by the Romans, they did not put the trilithons there. That was a much older work by several thousand years. I will agree with any model of moving them other than Neolithic Humans. But, there was a way then that is nearly lost to us now.

The Inca of Peru did a lot of stone work and what they used was a plant. The juice of the plant would melt rock. Since the plants were used during monolithic times for building, all the plants were used up from their sources for Europe, Asia and Africa. Some still do exist in the mountains south of the Inca city of Machu Picchu. Explorers of the early 1900’s told stories of finding this odd plant but were laughed at. Local Peruvians told of ancient stories about the plant being used to soften stone to build walls and making perfect seams. The plant stood about one foot above the ground, spread by root only so it grew in patches. The leaves, reddish in appearance, looked similar to maple leaves.

So, I believe in the plant, and I believe the monolithic period was over when humans could no longer find the plant. Just like Easter Island and the natives cut down all the trees to move their statues and then the island could no longer support life; so too, with the loss of the plant then no more monothiths. Hmmm, aren’t we cutting down too many trees too? To read more about strange things and the plant that melts rock, Google “[PDF] Earths Forbidden Secrets Part One-Maxwell Igan.pdf” and you will find the "Welcome to the Crowhouse" entry. Download and use is free. Read to approximately Figure 60, and you will learn all about the plant. Many things in this document I have seen. Many, many more I have not seen. I wonder if I have also seen the plants on my hikes to remote locations.

Of Airplanes and Triangles

There has been so much published in so many ways about the Bermuda Triangle that I will not go into any of that. Losses of both people and their conveyances throughout the greater Triangle area are well documented. It is not a condition just seen off the East Coast of the U.S., but also the same circumstance exists off the coast of Japan in the Dragon’s Triangle. However, even with so much documentation there are still many who doubt that it is a real force. Personally, I have no doubts at all. Early in the year of 1969 I was in the Marines on a sea cruise with the USS Guadalcanal. This was a small helicopter aircraft carrier on which my squadron HMM-365 with about eight CH-46D aircraft was attached. I guess our purpose was to travel throughout the Caribbean Sea to insure everybody was being nice. Usually the common Marine was not told where we were or where we were going. Sometimes we would pull into a port and be allowed to check out the natives. We would test the local food and beverage just to insure all was OK. It was a tough job but someone had to do it. In fact, I made three trips to the Caribbean this way and did not miss very many ports of call in the island chains, South America, or Central America. I transferred between three squadrons just for the trips. HMM-162, HMM-261 and HMM-365. I had a great advantage in knowing just where we were. I was the primary electronics technician for the squadron and had my own shop on the ship and a special large white unit about 10 feet by 20 feet in floor space and tall enough to stand in. Came with its’ own power generator and air conditioner. If we off-loaded on to some hot and sweaty island for war games, my little hut was very popular. Usually, when at sea, I stayed in my office fixing all the electronic aviation equipment that others would test and pass/fail on the aircraft. Once in a while I would have a problem with a piece of equipment wherein it would work on my bench but not in the helicopter. In a case like that I would put it in the plane myself and check all the systems working together. I was fully checked out on the CH-46D and was one of the rare Avionics Crew Chiefs. Most Crew Chiefs were from the metal shop. I could get in the Helicopter, pump the hydraulics, start the APU, bring all the systems on line and work on anything. On one evening this is exactly what I was doing. The piece of equipment I was working on that evening was an ARN-52(v) TACAN. Tacan stands for Tactical Air Navigation. In civilian aircraft the same type of equipment is called a VOR-TAC Variable Omni Ranging for the VOR. All the tacans could communicate with each other and tell each operator what direction and how far away the other airplane was. I was testing the channels and hit a response. I locked into an aircraft that was 50 miles away to our north and headed right for us. At that time we were off the north side of the island of Saint Thomas slowly headed westward towards San Juan, PR. Since the system was working, I shut everything down and went outside to find out if I could see the airplane headed in. It was late in the day just before sundown and quite warm. Once on the flight deck and all was quiet, I looked to the north and could make out the plane headed for us. It had four props and a fairly good size. The aircraft seemed to be going slow and I wondered how close to stall speed they were; in other words, every aircraft has a minimum speed for flying. If under the minimum speed it would not stay in the air and would then glide like a falling rock. Since I was on the starboard side of the ship looking up, several others stopped to watch whatever it was I was looking at. The plane was close enough now, maybe just a mile away and we could hear the engines. Then the plane vanished! Within a half mile of where I was standing, looking overhead, the airplane vanished and no more sound of the engines. Soon the sun set, it was a bit darker, and on the public address system for the ship called the 1MC, came the order for “All hands on deck” and all the ships spot lights came on. We turned towards the location where the aircraft vanished and nothing was found. Several of us were interviewed concerning what we saw. What I saw was a verified contact (via my TACAN) and a visual of the plane at an altitude of maybe 1000 feet. It was less than a half mile away and just vanished. The incident was hushed up and I heard no more. When on the internet a few years ago I remembered the incident. I tried to discover more about it but the entry was very cryptic. Vanished: 1969, March 8: big Douglas DC-4 in cargo service; after leaving the Azores. Crew: 3. N3821 They left the Azores and flew towards San Juan, PR, and almost made it. I wonder where they went. Trust me; considering the evidence, I do not want to follow them to find out. Vanishing in the Bermuda Triangle is far too real to me. You are just reading about it, and I lived it.

The case for Alternative Physics

Men in Black do exist.

The time was a warm August evening in 1966. I lived on the bench ten miles from Emmett, Idaho in an area called Hanna. Often in the summers I would ride my bicycle the 18 miles to a friend’s house that was just 3 miles downstream on the Payette River from the Black Canyon Dam. Usually we would get on the HAM radio at night send out our CQ’s and 88’s. This one August night was very different. Both of us grounded in science with insatiable curiosity, we started work on Einstein’s Unified Field Theory.

At the time I was looking forward to my Senior year at Emmett High School. I already had enough credits to graduate but at that time Idaho did not allow early graduation. The one class designated as a “Senior” class was US Government. I tried really hard to take that course in my Junior year, but instead had to settle for a Study Hall period. So, I spent that study hall period, for the entire year, trying to design a computer that would play checkers. I was a bit ahead of time because microchips had not yet been invented. A gated “node” chip had been invented and I built a simple game out of that. The gated nodes just did not seem to do enough for me in designing a checkers game. Well, back to the Unified Field Theory.

Einstein believed in a few things that were his undoing. (1) The universe should not expand, (2) Electricity and Gravity must be linked directly with mathematics, and (3) Mathematics was a pure and ultimate tool. Sometime just before midnight we found a flaw in his math. It was not a noticeable flaw, but a flaw none the less. Expanding on this flaw with a new kind of math, by 1AM we came up with a model that did two things: (1) proved special relativity worked beyond the real world and into the nuclear (Quantum) world, and that the speed of light, as a speed limit could be easily broken. I remember our shared comment at the time: “Einstein must be turning over in his grave by now.” According to the model time and space could be warped at a special relativity point and greater than light speed was attainable. I am certain that because all of the science community said that the concepts of Star Trek were impossible, I knew it could be done. So I found a way. What I found wrong with the math was simple and you can prove it to yourself. Math is not a pure tool. It is full of real world errors. Reach out to touch something. Before you touch it remember that the motion of your finger from start to touch, you must travel half the distance. In what is left of that distance, you must travel half of that. The half of what is left and half then half… if you do this test, and understand it, then you can see that in theory, we cannot touch anything. In reality, of course, we can touch anything we choose by just doing it. Thus the math was not pure and it did not reflect reality. At this time we decided to set up our sleeping bags near the old oak tree outside, look at the stars and get some sleep.

I could not release the new concepts we had just discovered. At one point I got up and stepped out an application of the new math theory. I think looking up at the stars went a long way towards sorting out the new ideas. The following day I headed home and my new theory went on a back burner but never forgotten. For a few years my favorite saying kept cropping up: Whenever you plan your life, reality gets in the way. I planned on college, but I did not have money for it. Instead, after graduation from high school I entered the US Marines, working in Aviation Electronics. Later, I crossed directly into the Navy, working as an Aviation Electronics Technician on secret aircraft. The EA6B airplane by Grumman was a great challenge. In the meantime, I was still working on my theory of alternate physics. This alternate physics predicted far different results than mainstream physics. I had divided down the photon into eight “units” and had the math needed and a model to prove that a photon is also a magnetic line of force. There was much more to the theory than that. At the time I belonged to AAAS, the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In May of 1979 AAAS was going to have open posting of peer reviewed papers at their annual meeting. In other words, if you had some kind of idea to share, get someone to look it over, sign a paper saying it had merit, and it would be posted at the meeting. I was friends with a lieutenant in the EA6B squadron I was in and he had a degree in physics. So I typed it up, asked if he would do a peer review and that was it. He said he would look it over.

At about 8PM on the day I gave the paper to the Lieutenant he called me all excited and said he would give my paper top comments and asked if he could share it with others. I said that was OK, and that was the last I heard from him. Who he shared the paper with was the Commanding Officer (CO) of the squadron who had a Masters in Physics and a secret background within the military complex applying his physics knowledge.

The next morning I could not find the Lieutenant and no one had heard from him. At about 10AM a message came to me to go see the Commanding Officer. As I entered his office, I knew something was up. The CO was sitting in his seat at the desk, and flanking him, one on each side, were two men over six feet tall, built like football linebackers, and in pure black suits with black ties. They glared at me and said nothing. The CO asked if that was my paper, flashing the document I had given the Lieutenant. I said yes and he told me it was trash, I should not explore it any further, and he ordered me not to mention it again to anyone. At that same time some federal marshals were at my house removing all my paperwork and the ink tape from my typewriter. That is exactly how you make the case for an alternate physics theory. When the CO realized what was in my paper, and determined it was dangerous knowledge, the Lieutenant was ordered to pack his bags and was taken off the base. No one ever heard from him again and no way of knowing where he was sent to. My guess would be that he now had the knowledge needed to work at Area 51.

The next step in any theory is to transfer theory to application. Much like converting the theory formula E=MC2 to an atomic bomb, my theory needed to be converted to some physical reality that would prove it. A few years ago I put the finishing touches on just how to do it. Now, all I need to do is win the lottery and build it.

Today comes right after tomorrow

When I graduated from High School I sent off papers to various colleges, various companies, and the Marines. I figured the first answer would be good enough. The last few graduating classes were soon accompanied by funerals with flags. The Marine recruiter showed up first, my Mother signed for me and soon I was in the Marines. I’m not too fond of 1967. But it made me pay too much attention to the world.

During the last ten years I have noticed the world has been overflowing and pouring into my life. Cable TV, Internet, and social organizations have all been lightning conduits for an overload of information about the world. I could ask any neighbor the current status of Lohan or their opinion of the secret second deep well in the Gulf and the only response I would expect would be “you don’t know?”

Now I see the world, the greater world I have tried to hard all these years to ignore. Not just the world now, but the world of the future. Now, I see the wars in peacetime, the nation going broke, people living on the streets, 20% of all the kids in this nation and other modern nations listed as starving, and greater amount in all other nations. I am aware of severe drought in all the grain producing nations of the earth except North America and that Iran gets one super tanker of fresh water from Sweden every day so they can stay alive.

For the future world we are being faced to look at, all the entitlement programs are running out of money over the next few years and the price of potato chips is going up. How do we determine what is important in the future or are they all tied together? We now live on the edge of several possibilities for the future and no way to know which are important or whether they all start tomorrow or The Day After. Wars lead to wars and rhubarb is best given to the neighbors.

We seem to have this 2012 thing to worry about now. The year 2012 by itself will be a boring year. It is what other people do with it that will be dangerous for all of us. A lot of religious people all over the world want it as an excuse to start the great religious war. This will be at a time when so many of the humans on this earth are “enlightened.” The Indigo Adults are just now applying pressure to their environments and the Crystal Children are now controlling all the people they can reach from their self imposed cells. This all creates a feedback loop across history. People who are aware of what can happen are sending that information to sensitive people in the past. Many of those in the past wrote down their notes of what they see in the future. Much of what is seen now and sent back is untrue. The real big problem is that it can all be a self fulfilling prophecy. I expect mother earth to tire of our over abundance and take measures to fix the problem.

Life is sweet—as long as no one has ants in the pants.

When Neighbors Look Different

We were sitting in the bucket front seats of the 1967 green Mustang. Even though we were parked out in the woods and five miles from McCall up the East side of the lake, bucket seats make it difficult to do much more than kiss on a “parking date.” The other couple that had gone to the woods with us had decided to get out of the back seat of the car and sit on the trunk of the Mustang. For as late as it was, around 10pm this August night in 1968, the air was still quite warm. This was the most common type of dating in the Donnelly-McCall Idaho area for the late 60’s.

There was one odd out-of-place item in the area that we noticed on the way in to the parking space. A log that was not rotted was partially in the roadbed as if it had been dropped there. We all commented on it on the way in. It was quite a mystery for us. We have all spent most of our lives in the woods hunting and fishing. For those of you not used to the woods, here is the problem. Roadbeds that are used a lot do not suddenly have a four foot chunk of log tossed on them, particularly if the log has a diameter of about a foot and green enough to weigh around 100 pounds. It is even more of a mystery since it was not rotted at all. (Ok, if rotted it would make sense because bears will pick up and toss a rotted log, hope it breaks up a bit and dig all those yummy grubs out of it.) We have all seen bears with logs. Deer and elk will not usually move a log but they do play with them.

Well, back to the important business of the parking date. I was sitting in the front seat with my date, and my friend Don was sitting on the trunk of the car (which makes a good seat) with his date. Soon, there is a tap on my window and Don, at the closed window, is giving the universal sign for silence, a finger over the lips. So, quietly I cranked the handle, lowering the window, and giving Don a chance to whisper. What he whispered to me was that all the time they were on the trunk, something kept circling the car just out of view. He said it really stank badly like wet dog in a hot closet. Wanting to know what had circled the car, he then told me that whatever circled us was now directly in front of the car and close by. The smell was familiar, now that the window was down, but I have never figured out what made that smell. All four of us has had about 18 years in the woods from sometime after the diaper stage, and later when comparing notes, we had all smelled that smell without knowing it’s source. I slowly turned the ignition key to the power position which, by itself does not turn anything on. I grabbed the knob for the headlights and saying, “Ok, here we go…” and pulled the lights on bright.

So here are my thoughts as I remember them. Just add a dash of shock and a jigger of fear along the path of these thoughts to get the feelings of the moment just about right. In that first frozen moment when the lights came on, my very first thought was seeing a look of absolute fear in his face. His brown eyes were wide and the mouth partially open but not showing teeth; somewhat, if you were right now to say lightly “ahhhh.” His face was dark, even in the headlights and he had no beard. Then the second moment of realization swept over me. The face that made such a sudden impression on me was sitting atop the body of a person who was about eight feet tall and built like a line-backer for football team. His body was completely matted in thick hair generally six to eight inches long, except as noted, the clear face. I realized our neighbor was not human, even though much of what I saw said “he looked good,” “his eyes were brown,” or “he had no beard.” The personification was absolute. He was a person, a neighbor, but just not like the rest of the neighborhood – so to speak. By the third moment of thought, in real time likely not much more that four or five seconds, our neighbor spun around clockwise and with one lunge into the woods he totally disappeared. There was no doubt about whom we had seen. Without any doubt the answer was immediate—that was Bigfoot. It is a lot like looking for gold in the wild. You can see lots of yellow and shiny and wonder if it is gold, but once you see the real thing there is no doubt at all. No doubt about seeing gold the first time, and no doubt about seeing Bigfoot for the first time.

Whether it was the right choice or not, we went back to town. The girls were sisters and went to their house and Don & I stayed in his house for the night. Late the next morning we picked up the girls and went to the local café in the Lardo part of McCall at the west end of the lake. While there we met another couple who had an interesting story. They went out to park the night before and after about an hour they decided to head back to town. When they turned around to head out on the access road a large hairy creature that they later identified as Bigfoot was standing in the road. He had his arms over his head and holding a large log. The couple went around him between the trees and just as they got back onto the road Bigfoot threw the log at them, bouncing off the trunk of the car. As you can guess, we were at the same parking space as they were, but about an hour later. There is no way to account for the attitude of Bigfoot. In later years I would find that most of them are peaceful. It is just that once in a while one of our Bigfoot neighbors will be fed up with our human actions and then expresses the anger. At the time of this sighting I was in the Marines and home on leave.

Once my contract was up with the Marines I moved home and rented a house across from the Marina in 1971. One day an old blue pickup was lurching along the street and came to a rest just even with my porch. From that vantage point I had watched the progress of the pickup and now the owner walking around it cursing and kicking the truck. At one point he said to his truck, “If someone gave me $50 right now, I would sell you.” I dashed into the house, reached to the bottom of the cookie jar and pulled out $50. I ran out of the house to the pickup and flashed the money to the owner. His name was Tim from Missoula, Montana and he had not been sleeping well at night. Tim sold me the 51’ flathead pickup truck and I used my car to take him to North Beach on Payette Lake where he was camping. He said every night smelly bears were ransacking his camp and keeping him awake. They never bothered the tent. I knew there were no bears like he described and wanted to know more. Instead of picking up his camp, we returned to town and later went back out with my sleeping bag to spend the night. At about 3am with a full moon, we were awakened by shuffling noises around the camp. Bravely, or stupidly depending on your point of view, I opened the tent flap and stepped out. What I saw was three critters that were distinctly Bigfoot about 100 feet away and walking west along the beach. By morning light, the tracks were all over the area. Back in those days, up until the late 70’s Bigfoot used North Beach to cross the valley. I suspect that as human dwellings increased in numbers and density along the lake the Bigfoot changed their crossover location to Upper Payette Lake. Besides seeing Bigfoot just south of the beach in a “parking spot” and seeing them at North Beach, I also glimpsed quick views of them along the lagoons and gravel pits in the North Beach area. That whole region is now developed in to a busy park. However, if you camp in the hills east of the Upper Payette Lake, you will find that often at night the woodlands go suddenly silent and odd odors waft through the air.

Even though I have seen Bigfoot many times, my new bride has not. So we will be camping at just the right time up there by payette lake. There will be plenty of fresh veggies on the camp table.

Personal UFO report

Idaho UFO history includes Cougar Mountain, Smiths’ Ferry. I have noticed that much of Idaho’s UFO history from before 1970 is totally missing now unless you happen to own a copy of Frank Edwards’ book “Stranger than Science.” I cannot find my issue, if I even still have it, but I know one of the entries from personal experience.

During the summer of 1957 my Dad and my Uncle Paul worked together in a post and pole business located one mile west of Donnelly. In mid-August of that summer they had an order to fill one hundred miles south near Nampa. The flatbed truck was loaded and they left early one august morning. When they returned late that night both were filled with an incredible story.

When returning from the Nampa-Boise area they took the only route available which was Idaho State Route 15. Years later the road would be widened and made a bit straighter and renamed SR 55. Uncle Paul was driving and my Dad was the passenger. Traveling north the trip was uneventful until the moment they turned onto Rainbow Bridge just north of Smiths’ Ferry. By the time they reached this area it was twilight or past 9pm. Also, there was no other traffic on the highway at the time. This area is also known as the Cougar Mountain area. At least once a decade, when traveling through the same area, I would ask my Dad to tell the story and point to what he saw. Most recently was in 2003, not too long before he passed away. The story never changed.

In mid-August, 1957 at about 9-9:30pm, northbound Hiway 15 (55) passes Cougar Mountain Lodge and the road continues following the Payette River. Both the road and the river become narrower with some zigzagging prior to reaching Rainbow Bridge. The road makes a sharp right onto the bridge. At that point my Dad yelled “STOP!” and the old flatbed truck was nearly in the middle of the bridge before coming to a complete stop. What my Dad had seen was something large and glowing coming right up the river at about the same level above the water as the bridge. As they came to a stop the large object rose slightly to avoid the bridge and missed the cab of the truck by mere feet. Once over the bridge it dipped about 30 feet down to the river then pulled up in a high arc reaching about 500 feet higher than they were, then dove straight down onto the top of a hill. They watched a bit of an explosion, but did not notice any burning of the dense forest. The land had not been logged and therefore no roads existed leading to the crash site at that time.

My Dad described the object as circular and shiny on top with a nearly flat bottom. The entire disk glowed with a bright purplish color and was traveling up the river and through its arc at about 60 mph. It was half the width of the bridge making it about 100 feet in diameter. My Dad would seem to be a good person for observation. He was retired from the Air Force with the rank of Master Gunnery Sgt. He had been in the Flying Tigers and when evacuated from China he was sent to school for the Norden Bomb site and spent the rest of the war in the Flying Fortress. He told stories of “Foo Fighters” and the first momentary glimpse of this disk coming up the river immediately triggered his old reaction to those earlier foo fighters. Unable to do anything about the crash, the two men continued north for a half hour reaching Cascade, the county seat for Valley County. There they stopped at the police station and filed a report.
During the evening of the next day an Air Force Officer dropped by the house and explained to my Dad and Uncle that what they saw was no more than a missile that had been accidentally launched from a jet out of Mountain Home Air Force Base, southwest of Boise. The officer added that “You have no reason to be concerned and should just forget about the incident.” I remember looking at the smiling officer and then at my Dad just staring at him for a moment. My reaction was to try to melt in to the background and be out of site for a while. Very calmly my Dad explained to the young smiling officer that he was retired Air Force, added a few details, and knew a missile when he saw one. He then invited the officer to change his story or leave. That was the last we heard from the Air Force about that incident.
The crash at Smiths’ Ferry was at 44º 20’ 11.57 N and 116º 03’ 27.54 W and by the following day, the Air Force had the entire area stripped clean. It is most interesting that an Air Force C-123 crashed in Payette County one year later after running into a tight group of about 200 geese at 2,000 feet and fifty years later there are still some scattered pieces of the aircraft on the hillside. A "missile" in a remote location was cleaned with tweezers, and a C-123 a mile from a highway had only the major parts cleaned up.

Horse Mutilation

I believe it is the time to make this report. When it comes to animal mutilations, usually cows and occasionally horses, seemingly it "just happens" with no witnesses. Some say black helicopters are in the area, but I think they were chasing what actually did the job. A helicopter does not fit my understanding of the event. Although I was not a direct witness, I was too close. Here is my story.

On Thursday night, August 29, 1991, my late wife and I were camping on Kennally Creek six miles east of Donnelly, Idaho. That night at 3AM there was a wild ruckus of
coyotes barking. It woke us up and our attention was on those coyotes wondering why this was happening. It seemed like all the coyotes in the whole valley were concentrated just to the south of where we were camping. Imagine a hundred coyotes in one place barking and baying. Then total silence. By total silence I mean that nothing could be heard. We were next to a stream and could not hear the stream gurgling. Many know the wonderful sounds that a stream can make to lure you into dreamland when camping. However, this night, at this moment not even the stream could be heard.

Suddenly, there was a screaming-screeching sound of great volume that lasted more than a minute. There was silence again, that same total silence defeating even the natural sounds of the forest and the stream. This time the silence lasted for about five minutes. Suddenly, that same loud noise, the intense lasting screaming sound could be heard once again, and after it was over, the coyotes were barking once again. We were listening to the coyotes in some degree of fear trying to figure out what was happening and then, oddly, we both fell fast asleep.

We woke up together at 9AM, discussed the strangeness of the night and decided to pack up and go back home. About a week later we invited my parents to join us on a camping trip and returned to the same place. This location by Kennally Creek had been a family favorite since about 1956. In those forty years very little had changed at the campsite. Not even the tiny pond where my sister and I played with frogs and garter snakes has changed, and where my grandchildren did the same.

That night of the first day camping with my parents a local rancher showed up on horseback and told us the story of how, just over a ridge a week before, just 160 yards from our tent, was a horse mutilation. He detailed the usual findings of precision cuts, no tracks, and no blood. It happened on the same night we heard the coyotes and screaming sounds. Some may say we just heard a mountain lion scream; however, a mountain lion does live there, just a few hundred feet to the north and we have heard it scream, and there was no comparison; however, if you need the mountain lion connection, you would have to have several of them in one place and screaming in more than twice the volume as they can do.

A little more about the location can be given. Using Google Earth ™ you travel nearly due east of Donnelly, Idaho six miles. The coordinates for the mutilation are: 44º 42' 41.53"N, 115º 57' 39.82W and the coordinates for the campsite are 44º 42’ 41.53” N, 115º 57’ 33.39” W.

An old newspaper article was once posted by Google that covered the story as told in the newspapers. However, Googgle recently removed the news article.

From the camping spot, Kennally Creek empties into Gold Fork River at about 2 ½ miles south as the crow flies. The area is closed now. In 2005 a new rancher up from California fenced off the access road that had been open for over half a century.

Compare my written view of the "silence" to this person when he talks about a UFO:
http://www.forbiddenknowledgetv.com/page/968.html

Oregon City Lights

On Saturday, 2nd August 2008, Anna & I drove from home in Idaho to Oregon City to visit with my sister and brother-in-law. My sister has a trailer for camping and when we go to visit the trailer, parked beside the house, becomes our bedroom.

We went to bed and after a while I began having some sinus problems
and got up to work on the problem. I decided it was time for some fresh
air and stepped outside and was soon joined by Anna checking to see
if I was ok. From the front door of the trailer we could see some stars
but decided to move to the other end of the trailer where the view was
better.

Clear starry night, some light pollution since we were in a city, but
because it was 1:30am all was quiet and the stars were plentiful. We
saw an airplane off in the distance traveling northwest with the
navigational strobe lights flashing and it soon ranged out of sight.
Then we saw another airplane approaching from the south with
headlights on as planes do for night landings, and the Portland airport
was about 20 miles due north. At first I had a feeling that the airplane
was not quite "right" but did not think too much about it. As we watched
it approach closer to us from the south, I thought "those landing lights
are really bright." Indeed, single lights could not be seen but the whole
front of the plane facing us was lit up with very intense beams. As the
plane moved through the sky it was eclipsing stars--as it came between
us and a star the star of course would vanish, then reappear as the
plane moved on.

Then it happened. The very bright lights of the plane, in two second
steps, began fading. Fade, fade, fade...step at a time until no lights
were on. All this while, and this was most interesting, the plane slowed to
a stop. Once the headlights were completely out, we saw that there
were no navigation lights flashing. The plane had completely vanished
from the sky, at least no lights to say it was there. Also, no stars were
being eclipsed in any direction from where it stopped and turned off the
lights. About 30 seconds after the lights were completely out, there was
a quick small flash, smaller than the outline area of the plane, and then
it actually vanished. Actually vanished because the starlight it blocked
now shown through and no star eclipses were in any direction from that
point.

Plane? I don't think so.

Something Special

A chance to see something special

During the first two weeks of August, most every year now, there should be something rare happening in Payette Lake, McCall, Idaho. Many people have heard of these strange things around the world. The most popular strange thing is “Nessie” of Loch Ness, Scotland. This critter and similar around the world are known as cryptids, a term derived from the study of elusive or anecdotal animals or the study of cryptozoology.

At the city of McCall, Idaho is Payette Lake. Don't confuse this lake with Upper Payette Lake which only has flying trout. Payette Lake is the home of Sharlie, seen by hundreds of people in modern times and is a long necked Plesiosaur. Native Americans have had stories about Sharlie since before recorded time and considered Sharlie as evil and dangerous.

I have watched for Sharlie all my life, half a century and I have made some critical observations from seeing Sharlie and extrapolated some very unique insights that answer some common questions. First the facts from observation: Sharlie surfaces once every three to five years, except lately, feeds both day and night remaining in this feeding mode for one to two weeks then vanishes. Sharlie is a “him” and Nessie is a “her," due to observational data. Feeding will last up to two weeks, never more, allowing a greater number of people to spot him.

Some people believe that even if seen by reputable people, Sharlie –as well as Nessie—could not exist. This belief is based on modern observation, and not observations made before the food chain was obliterated with absorbed Iridium 192 worldwide. It is believed that there has to be a large population of breeders in order for the cryptids to have survived a mere 65 million years. Actually, Sharlie is a little older than that in measured years.

You are born, you live, you die. This is true for 92% of all living species on earth. No argument there. However, for any species prior to the iridium purge of 65 million years ago, this may not be true. Many creatures and even plants were born (or sprouted) lived, matured, and stayed in that stage, mature. Of course anytime along the way any critter or plant could be killed or eaten—no unkillable supersaurs. Sharlie was hatched, grew to adulthood, and has remained there ever since. Sharlie is likely to be around 66 million years old and younger than Nessie.

Sharlie nearly always surfaces in the first week of August. Sharlie has never gone more than five years without being seen and lately nearly every year. That means that this year starting around the 1st of August, be at Payette Lake with your camera and zoom lens in hand. When done feeding Sharlie will travel along the south end of the lake from east (old Mill) to west and around to a secret point north of Shore Lodge, dive down about 20 meters and enter an under water cavern to sleep for 1 to 5 years again. When making his last cruise of the lake, Sharlie will be within 50 feet of the shore. Their is nothing more beautiful than being on a dock near the McCall Hotel and seeing that sleek six foot wide body cruize by just a foot or so under the water, or near the outlet of the lake seeing the head rise three feet above the water, and look in your direction while gliding in the water at about 10mph.

Geologist say it is just a lake formed by an ancient glacier, but I suspect the lake was their long before and the glacier moved over the top of the lake. Some spots in the lake are very deep. Near the outlet of the lake where the Payette River begins, on the McCall side of the bridge is a park for picnicing. Great place to wait for Sharley...

The Idaho Cattleman's Fish and Game

We should remember a few years ago the horrible situation created by the Idaho Fish & Game. On BLM open grazing land a herd of elk were eating grasses that the local Cattleman Rancher wanted for his cows. He called up the Fish & Game and they responded immediately with a helicopter and tried to “air” herd the large herd of elk away from the area. Several elk were killed including the Alpha Bull.
You may also remember earlier this year when a Cattleman Rancher did not want a Mountain Lion on his leased forest land. The Idaho Fish & Game rushed in and killed the Lion. Then they found she had four kittens. The only solution to this new profound problem was wringing the necks of the kittens and toss them into the bushes.

That is how the Idaho Fish & Game handles the wild game. If you read my blog you already know that the ranchers, sheep or cattle, cause a lot of their own problems with the wolves, and likely do not even know it. Now, lets see how the Fish & Game handles the people of Idaho. This is just my opinion, but I would think that the fish and the game of Idaho should be available for people who do not have enough food. Did you know that 16% of Idaho's children are listed by the Federal Government as STARVING. Also on the same list 40% of Idaho's population, mostly rural families, are FOOD INSECURE. This means families run out of food money before the next paycheck, or simply on a daily basis do not know where the next meal, or next weeks meals are going to come from. One group tried to address that issue and for five years, four times a year at the meetings of the Fish & Game board, begged with details for a reduced fee license for fishing and hunting. Finally, the formal proposal was put on the agenda for the commissioners to vote on. Read on....

Keep in mind that this report is accurate as of three years ago.

On 21 January 2005 the Idaho Fish & Game Commission (F&G) considered ruling on a proposal by the Idaho Community Action Network (ICAN) to establish a low income (within 185% of the Federal Poverty level) licensing system to help feed the poor and the working poor in the State of Idaho, or about 40% of the population.

56

In ruling against the ICAN proposal, the commission added there was sufficient roadkill and poached meat being distributed within the state, and in fact, the F&G was having difficulty in distributing it, that the regional food banks (FB) could not handle as much as was being processed. Further, the board stated that the food banks of Northern Idaho were so full of meat that they had no freezer space available. One load of meat that was destined to be delivered to Northern Idaho was refused and the meat had to be trucked all the way south to Donnelly for distribution.
The F&G then handed the ICAN representatives a list of 56 distribution centers by region wherein roadkill and poached meats were distributed.

34

Only 34 of the 56 sites could be verified as actually existing. Listed inclusions that could not be verified were “Various Churches,” “Several Churches,” “Several Private People,” “Churches,” “River of Life Family,” “Jesus name Tabernacle,” “Mormon Churches,” “Catholic Churches,” Subs for Santa,” and “Private Individuals.” Remember, these are the official names the F&G has for distribution locations. These were not verifiable.
Attempts were made by ICAN personnel around the state to contact churches if they still existed, and churches in general asking if the F&G meats were being delivered. The ICAN members contact lists, forged from phone book yellow pages, totaled 423 churches across the state. When asked about the meats from the F&G, only one answer was consistent, and that answer was “NO.”

21

Not all food banks in Idaho are developed the same. In fact, many in the state would be more properly termed “food pantries” and have no freezers and many with no routine clients or routine operating hours. These factors make it impossible to accept meats, and if accepted from the F&G have no true method for distribution. Many of the pantries reported that they distribute dry and canned foods only and on a case by case basis, or “walk-ins” only. So these locations, besides not able to handle F&G meats, also report they have never seen F&G meats. When you remove the Dry Goods Pantries that work a case-by-case basis, you are left with only 21 locations from the F&G list that have some freezer space and some routine clients.

5

That last paragraph identified the remaining 21 locations that had the capacity and the infrastructure to accommodate donated meats from the Idaho Fish & Game. However, there still remained the question, “Do you or have you ever received meats from the Fish & Game?” As you can see, 5 organizations reported that they routinely receive the wild game meat. Routinely, without exception was defined as 3 or 4 times a year. These locations were Region (2) Lewiston FB; Region (3) Cascade WICAP, Boise County Sheriffs Office; Region (5) SEICCA; and Region (7) Idaho Falls FB.

2

As these final 5 were located, one more question remained, “Would you share the wild game meat with other than your listed clients?” Only 2 answered yes, if they had enough, and indicating in both locations that there was never enough. These 2 locations were SEICCA and Idaho Falls FB.
So, with ICAN showing the Fish & Game that 40% of the people in Idaho were officially listed as either FOOD INSECURE or in the STARVING category, the F&G ruled against affordable licensing in favor of all that meat being distributed, which was a total lie. The F&G obviously does not care about the people of the state, just the money.

Discovery Process: Using the internet and such search engines as Google to find locations, phone numbers, and in some cases the proper identification of food banks listed by the F&G, only 34 could be verified as existing. But that was not all the resources available. ICAN at that time posted a membership of 3,000 families across the state using phone books and contacting county information. All the information was accumulated by me and using a cell phone, a total of 247 minutes was logged to verify the information. Also, in some areas when no one answered the phones, members of the Idaho Community Action Network were called to make onsite reviews and locate contact information. For instance, a member named Darvin made local calls to see who was the current caretaker for the Troy FB, and returned the information of the managers name. The FB was pantry only with no freezer and due to lack of funds or food, was used rarely through the year. The Troy FB listed by the F&G had actually changed their name five years earlier to the Sojourner Alliance. In the case of “Churches” listed by the F&G, every church in every region of the state found was contacted. None contacted could be verified as being part of the Fish and Game Distribution.

Some of the stories encountered: In their ruling the F&G specifically stated that the foodbanks of Northern Idaho reported that “they were so full of meat that they had no freezer space left.” A few years ago the northern food banks reorganized into the Community Action Partnership of Northern Idaho. Smaller food banks were centralized into regional outlets and as a partnership, assist each other in times of stress. Each has a specific client list and walk-ins are screened for “need” and added to the list. Connie at the Lewiston Food Bank said that they could not share the wild game when it came in.They service 400 clients and distribute food once every three months. When I mentioned roadkill, Connie said that the Fish & Game could no longer process roadkill because they were taken to court two years prior when people got sick. Connie was very clear that the wild game was distributed only to the Lewiston clients and there was never enough to go around.

Another branch of the Community Action Partnership of Northern Idaho, the Grangeville Food Bank was also relayed the F&G story about too much meat. Mike Flynn's first remark was “It would be great if they did.” In continuing conversation he said that early last year he saw some meat marked “wild game” in the freezer, but only a little. He did relay an interesting story. He said, “Last Christmas the Fish & Game called and said they had some meat for us and we could pick it up at Western (Western Meats, Inc., Grangeville) and when we went to get it, the meat was gone. The manager at Western said that the Fish and Game officer came back in as soon as it was wrapped and took it with him. The Food Bank got nothing.”

At the Cottonwood Food Bank, Sister Barbara Jean said they had some freezer space, seldom holding any meat, and in the three years she had been there, there was never any meat from the Fish & Game as listed by the F&G. The St. Mary's Hospital runs the Food Bank. She also begged me to try and get some meat because they had a lot of hungry people.

At the McCall Health and Welfare, no one knew for sure if wild game actually had been delivered but if it was it may have been given to just anyone standing nearby since no one would know what to do with it.. That conversation seemed to include a lot of fuzzy logic.

Freda Gilbert at the Payette Lakes Food Bank and Robert Hall at the Donnelly Food Bank work eleven miles apart but are in constant contact with each other. When I relayed the F&G story about too much meat in the North and it had to be taken all the way to Donnelly to unload, Freda said “No Way!” and Robert Hall said, “Not only NO, but hell no.” Robert has been begging the Fish & Game for the whole six years he had been there and said that now they hang up on him and refuse to give him any forms. He said he was told several times in the last few years that he could not have any of the wild game.

End of report.

The Wolf Knows

There is one unasked question: Why do wolves do so well in Yellowstone, with numbers maintained by the wolves themselves, and why in the surrounding states do the wolves multiply uncontrolled and present a great threat to ranches and ungulates?

There is one fact that the State Fish & Game does not want you to know about the introduction of wolves into our state. But before I can adequately explain to you what this is, I need to cover other topics and then tie them all together. So please be patient in your reading.
First, you need a way of proving for yourself the context and facts of what I am explaining to you. Try to find someone who has been stung by a hornet. In our area the more common hornet is called the “bald-faced hornet,” which is really a type of wasp. The poison this hornet gives the body when it stings is an extraordinary chemical soup and can be deadly—even if you are not usually allergic to bee venom. When you find someone who has been stung by the hornet, ask them what would happen for the next year if they wandered outside between April and November. What, you ask, would happen? Any hornet within a mile would immediately stop what they are doing and make—please excuse the pun—a beeline to that person. The next thing that happens is not an immediate sting, but what is called a “Head Butt.” If looking in the right direction they can see the bee coming at them in a straight line and then impact the forehead, and then bounce off unharmed and circle around for another hit—deciding in the process if you needed stung again to leave there territory. It is called “auto-response to a chemical tag.”
This note from insectstings.com.”Another feature unique to the wasp and hornet is that the venom contains a pheromone which alarms all other wasps in the area and invites them to join the attack on the victim. That pheromone may remain with the victim for years in their breath and sweat.”
The upshot of it all is that whatever you eat, whatever is injected into you, or whatever is absorbed by the skin is thereafter, for some length of time, in your sweat and in your breath. More importantly, this is true of all mammals. Try eating a lot of garlic. Then two days later see if anyone can smell it on you. They will, of course find it in your sweat and breath long after you have stopped eating the garlic.
By the way, on that garlic, how close do you have to be to a garlic to smell it? For this purpose, lets pick an arbitrary distance since everyones' nose is a bit different. I tested for myself with the garlic on the kitchen table, and three feet was about it.
So I could smell an unbruised garlic at three feet. Had I bruised or squished it, the distance would have been more like from here to the neighbors house. Did you know that depending on the breed of dog, a dogs nose is considered to be from ten to thirty times more sensitive than the average human? So if my sniffer finds a garlic at three feet, a pug will find it at 30 feet and a bloodhound will spot it at nearly 100 feet away to each smell it at about the same level. There seems to be two reasons for this greater sensitivity. One is the way a dog moves the air. The same volume of air will be move back and forth through the olfactory lobes of the dogs nose—the in and out sniff.
If I ate that clove of garlic the average dog would be able to smell it in my breath and sweat from maybe 50 feet away, every day for a long time. Poor dog likely would stay clear of me. If I got a tetanus shot, the average dog would know from 50 feet away.
The other reason would be the special convolutions of the internal nasal passages that allows a dog to smell so well. That is why a dog is a good companion if you have cancer or epilepsy. The dog will sense changes in the body long before the human senses can notice changes. The changes are broadcast in the human sweat and breath.
Did you know that wolves can smell at about 100 times better than a human? That same garlic that I can smell a three feet, a wolf can smell at 300 feet or better. If I get a tetanus shot, a wolf who smelled me the day before at 1000 feet and then smelled me again after the shot would know the difference. The wolf would likely consider that I am sick because I do not smell “right.” How we smell in day-to-day life with a normal diet and no shots or medications is normal to the wolf. A genetic memory in the wolf confirms how we should smell. If we have had shots or medications, then we would smell wrong or sick. It is a natural reaction for the wolf to weed out the sick. If the chemical tag in the breath or sweat indicates that a mammal is sick, it then becomes a target for food to keep that mammals population clean. Read about wolves and understand that behavior for yourself. The wolf knows because of the wolf nose.
Sheep, cattle and other domestic animals are given shots, medicated food, and medicated salts. So often I have seen salt blocks out in the free range land. These are not the white mineralized salt blocks, but more usually the pink medicated salt blocks. Most horse owners know that if the only salt block available to the horse is the medicated type, the horse can get sick and even die. The reason is that they overdose on medication while trying to get enough salt. Very often the blocks are used by all the ungulates; therefore, all the ungulates in the area of a medicated salt block are medicated and they then all appear to the wolf as sick. Give your cattle shots and they smell wrong and therefore are sick. Give your sheep medicated feed and they smell wrong and therefore are sick.
All the problems with the wolf population are caused by the human managers of the domesticated herds and this medication spills over into the wild ungulate population via salt blocks and similar devices and the wolves do what they are designed to do. The wolves clean out the sick animals. When sheep are vaccinated for clostridial diseases, these medications cross the placental barrier and are expressed in the newborn. The newborn are therefore considered sick by the wolf nose.
Ranchers are angry about the wolves killing their animals. The ranchers do it to themselves through lack of knowledge about the medications being given. The hunters are mad about the wolves taking down the elk and deer herds, but they do not blame the ranchers for making the cattle medications available to the wild ungulates.
The wolf nose knows. Through mismanagement of medications we are giving entire herds of ungulates to the wolves for dinner. Don't blame the wolf for being right, blame the ranchers for being wrong.

Gas is Cheap

I bet you all think that the price of gas has increased. This is simply not true. Gas is a commodity ( something from the earth ) like coal, copper and silver -- at least the crude oil that gas is made from is a commodity. Very few commodities have actually increased in true cost in the last five years. I am well aware of the fact that you have to give more cash at the pumps to fill the gas tank, but don't blame gas for it or the companies that sell it. In fact, companies like Exon and so on only contribute an average of 7% to the cost of gas. In fact if you are removing the Corporate gas companies cost + profit for making the gas you only remove less than 25 cents for each gallon. So $3.50/gal gas only drops to $3.25, and certainly does not account for the difference between gas in 2003 costing $1.50/gal to what it is today. Lets try an explanation.....

Lets say I am having a yard sale and I need $10 in change to get it going. No one is coming by so I get the bright idea to start another yard sale on the neighbors lawn. I need another $10 change for that one but I don't have it. So, I borrow the $10 from that neighbor and the neighbor, at the end of the day, wants the original $10 plus 10% of all proceeds to pay for using their lawn. No one is stopping at either yard sale even though during the day I kept dropping the prices.

Lets say the Nations' Gross Domestic Product (GDP), what we make and sell to the world, has stalled. The nation has enough cash flow (change) to make what is needed, but sales are really low. The economy is stalled, and the year is 2003. The FED decides to trigger the economy by supercharging some of the industries in the US. To do this, they need more cash and order the US Treasury to increase the rate of printing money (cash for the new yard sale). The US Treasury begins selling 10, 20 & 30 year notes to cover the cash they are printing and sell these notes to other countries on the earth. (borrowing the money). This action by itself does not seem to do any good, so the FED drops the interest rates on borrowed money to banks to just 1% (dropping the prices).

First comes the housing boom with people borrowing money from banks to get a home beyond their means. The bank takes twenty loans each valued at $100,000 for a total worth of $2 million and sells this bundle to another finance company for the $2 million. The actual money is not there, just the paper saying it will eventually be paid. The bank is in the clear now. Many of the "bundles" included secure contracts and ARM's, adjustable rate mortgages, but it is not the banks problem now. The mistake the bank makes is taking the $2 million and loaning it back out for more mortgages, but not at a one-to-one basis. They loan at a multiple of 67 times (on average for every bank you know). In other words, for each real dollar the bank has, $67 are loaned out.

To make up the difference, the bank borrows from the FED the extra $66 dollars needed to cover their position. The new money makes new loans for mortgages and these get bundled and sold for face value, and the FED has to order the Treasury to print more money.

That begins a wild ride that makes banks rich on paper, and fuels a whole new industry called loosely "financials." The bundles look so good on paper that besides a foreign country buying US Treasury notes, they - the financial industry - buys the bundles too.

All of this happens from April 2004 until April 2005. Congress says to the President, "Aren't we printing an awful lot of money?" And the President says, "No, Congress, life is great." The President then ordered the US Treasury to quit reporting the M1 & M3 monthly reports. These reports can be used to calculate how much more money is being printed than what is needed to support the annual GDP, Gross Domestic Product.

Everything described continued until present day. By Presidential order we have already stated that the M1&M3 are no longer reported, and to make the GDP look better a few other minor things were done. When calculating the annual rate of inflation the White House ordered that Food, Health Care and Fuel no longer be counted. When estimating unemployment, only count the actual number of people drawing on the Unemployment Insurance fund. No longer count the individual state estimates of the unemployed not drawing the insurance.

Here are a few facts for you to chew on. Since 2004 the annual rate of inflation has been around 20%. "OH NO!" you say. Yes, this is true. Inflation is the amount of money printed that is greater than the needs of the GDP. True inflation has nothing to do with the cost of butter at the local store. That is a different inflation called "consumer inflation." As long as the extra money was floating around and being used in the Housing and Financial areas, it did not impact the rate of consumer inflation. Consumer inflation deals with stagnate excess printed money. Consumer inflation began last August (August 2007) when ARM's began adjusting upward (a monthly mortgage payment went from $700/month to $1400/month on average.) People could not pay, defaulted on the mortgage, and --think about it-- all along the line of where the "bundled" contract went to, suddenly there was no income from that part of the bundle. Banks and Financial businesses suddenly began reporting their profits were posted wrongly, then later, as defaults increased the "paper" became less valuable.

Nationwide, more than 410,000 families lost their homes last year, and the rate of loss is increasing.
This means that more money is being left "stagnate" and consumer inflation is increasing. It means there is just too much cash available. The FED's answer to this problem is to print more money.

Ok, I said the price of gas is about the same as it was in 2003. Consider that I said the money supply (true inflation) has increased 20% per year since then or for 5 years. So each year the money itself has devalued at 20% of the total money that is in existence. A dollar today is worth far less than it was in 2003. It takes many more of those dollars to purchase the same product as in 2003 because the dollars are worth a lot less.

2003 gas at $1.50 at a 20% loss in the value of money you are using to buy the gas means that in 2004 you had to pay $1.80.

2003: $1.50 X 1.2 (20% increase) = $1.80
2004: $1.80 X 1.2 = $2.16
2005: $2.16 X 1.2 = $2.59
2006: $2.59 X 1.2 = $3.11
2007: $3.11 X 1.2 = $3.73

So $3.73 would be the cost of gas because of the extra cash that is being pumped into the system. But gas is going higher. During 2008, generally, any price of gas beyond the FEDs $3.73 is caused by increased demand by India, Japan and China-- Mostly China. It is your dollars that are worth 20% less each year that is costing you at the pump, not the cost of the gas. If you adjust the currency inflation since 2003, the cost of gas is the same, or would be very nearly the same except the global inflation in gas which is also nearly 20%. Gas should rise in price during 2008 to reach about $4.78 a gallon for regular. Then it will level out for the year from August through about April 2009 as the economy bottoms out in a severe recession. The recession brought about by the price of gas will divide the citizens between the "haves" and the "have nots." The Middle class will be wiped out.

By the way, When the FED says "loans" or the Congress says "bailout" or the President says "rescue," please change their terms for the correct term: " taxpayer" You, your grandchildren and many more generations COULD pay for these vote-buying terms, unless the USA announces bankruptcy. You may also want to consider these tidbits: We are borrowing money from China and paying it to the Oil Countries (like Saudi Arabia) at the rate of $2 Billion each and every day. So every day we are $2Billion more in debt to China. China and Japan each own over $2 TRILLION of our currency (dollars). India falls short at only a little over $800 Billion of our dollars in their vaults. The reason that the current Administration wants to bomb Iran is NOT due to any nuclear processing facilities. It is because they are the only oil producing nation that has dumped the dollar as a basis for selling/trading oil, and have instead switched to the Euro. This is destabilizing our overseas purchasing power for oil.

Where does all this lead? The president elect of 2008 will win or fail depending on how much that person understands basic ecconomics and technology. So far, none in or headed for Washington DC have shown any indication of economic knowledge other than Ron Paul. It appears that no matter who we have for president, a deep recession/depression will occur and will last until December of 2012. Fire the FED, bring back gold into currency, and maybe the economic damage can be repaired in time for our great-grandchildren to manage society.

TIMBER TRUTH

I would like you to stay with me for a story. Before the story is finished you will realize that it may be the most informative Timber / Forest Service story you have ever heard. I swear it is totally true and factual. If I dug deep enough into my shed, I would find the receipts and other critical data to back it up, the shed is full and the data is at least 10 feet from the door – a dangerous place to go.

First, I would like to throw out a fancy term: “Thermally activated dihydrogen monoxide.” That is just another way of saying “warm water.” So when I tell you as an engineer I was the Plant Foreman for a process called “Thermally coupled enzymatic hydraulysis” which was the official name of the process, you know it may not be as fancy as it sounds. What we really made was a cream colored, creamy textured, low odor fish fertilizer. If you find fish fertilizer on the shelves, it has had the same basic treatment that we used except that it was processed at a much higher temperature (140º), made at a thousand gallons a day and is dark and stinky (smells like rotted fish.) Our product was made at 110º slowly at just 100 gallons a day. A fishing team using big nets would bring in carp from the Snake River, the carp would go through several stages of grinding, travel through a transfer unit that coupled heat from steam into the fish, and then on to the processing. Enzymes would be dripped into the fish and it would go through a series of digesters to be liquefied and then on to more processing. At the end of the total operation was a product that could be diluted and sprayed from a crop duster without neighbors complaining about the smell. Now you have the background.

Now, on to the story. One day in May 1992 Jim and Fred showed up in uniform at our Payette, Idaho processing plant. A friend of a friend had told Jim about our product and what wonders it did for his sick fruit trees. These two men in their Forest Service uniforms wanted to try it. So we supplied all the information and they returned in two days with check in hand and a 100 gallon plastic container on the back of a Forest Service truck. We filled their tank from ours and sent them on their way. They headed back to their Wallowa-Whitman Forest Service office and got with a crop duster friend. Jim and Fred showed up a few days later with the tank of fertilizer. The crop duster tried a few gallons and said it clogged his nozzles. He was going to go to a slightly higher nozzle size, but wanted us to re-screen the product. We ran it through a tighter vibrating mesh and returned it to their tank. Jim and Fred left to apply the fish to a stand of fir trees under siege from beetles and drought. Time went by and we nearly had forgotten about that sale.
One day, again in uniform, Jim and Fred returned. The owner of the plant and I were in the office when they came in all smiles and totally excited. During the past 4 months the trees became healthy and the beetles were almost non-existent. They said that was great and all they had hoped for. But their real excitement was from what happened next. A forest fire was in the region and had topped out, or was “crowning.” When the fire got to the sprayed trees it was no longer crowning and burned only along the ground cleaning the area; in other words, the perfect cleansing fire leaving healthy trees behind. Jim and Fred said they planned to submit the results to “higher-ups” and get funding to spray more of the forest. Sounded just fine to us. They left, we were happy to have learned the true value of our product, and we did not see them again for a long time.
One day Jim showed up at the office in just jeans and an old shirt. He was there unofficially just to tell us what happened. When they submitted their data and a request for more funding they were called into the office of their boss. They were told in no uncertain terms the following: They did not use fish on the trees. They did not see any benefits of such an action even if they had done so. To say anything about the project would be considered an act of sedition and severe penalties could result.
Jim went on to explain that each year they submit a budget request based on money spent through the year and expected costs in the upcoming year. Simply put, a budget is submitted each year about 10% higher than the last budget request. What the fish fertilizer did was show a way to protect the trees and the wildlife and in the process totally destroy the Forest Service budget. Think about firefighting. Currently the Federal cost of fighting just the national forest fires is greater than $ 1 Billion annually. That does not include national or state parks, BLM fires, or fires encroaching on homes and businesses. Those are all funded separately. It is not just the firefighting directly that the money is spent on. Consider firefighting crews hired in the summers, all the food, all the equipment and all the mismanagement. To use a simple and cost effective method to save the forests would destroy the Federal Budget for fighting fires. People would not get hired, equipment – including C-130's – would be sold at auction, and worst of all, Senior Forest Service personnel would be put into early retirement at lower pay since the new budget would not be able to support a government structure with too many chiefs and not enough.... well you know how it all goes.

The beetle invasion of the West is important for another reason. It allows the expenditure of funds in ways that, in the long run do not work. This will help maintain the Forest Service budgets. Using the beetle infestation as an excuse to continue logging prevents the natural evolution of the people of the region. Wherein one generation just cleared some ground and lived off the land, mostly from the forest critters, the next generation learned to use large 2-people saws to harvest timber for local mills. The next generations changed to allow greater cutting of the forests to feed large regional mills. When the big mills closed, that generation evolved into learning maintaining a small residence and living off the land. This in turn led to the next evolution which was to maintain a healthy forest for tourism and working at the well known tourist traps; including, but not limited to: Forest excursions, fishing, dining, boat trips, and many more. Unfortunately, the lessons of clear cutting have been learned. The carbon exchange system takes several generations of trees to get reestablished and until then, Montana, Idaho, Eastern Oregon, and Washington do not have any "really" healthy trees. Thus, the beetles invade, but the fish product (natural, organic, non-toxic) that I used to produce would create the healthy trees, reestablish the carbon transfer chain between trees and rid the forests of the beetles.

That is the story and I hope you stayed with it to the end. It is a true story. Now you can believe it or not but you can certainly see for yourself the proof of it. Keep in mind that it officially never happened and you will not be able to get anyone to confirm it. So, look for yourself. Bring up Google Earth, and in the block titled “Fly to...” type in “Bridgeport, OR” and once zoomed in to that town, “fly” (or use the ruler) north by northeast at a bering of 16º for just 3.5 miles until you find a dark solid patch of trees. If you back out a ways, you will find scattered patches of trees but only one trapezoidal shaped large patch of trees about 1 mile on the base and 1 mile height. Zoom in to any nearby area and see the results of a terrible forest fire. Zoom into the patch of forest and see the healthy trees. The Google Earth picture is only a year or so old and much of the nearby forest is beginning to return in patches. But the healthy, original patch in its trapezoidal shape is still visible. This patch of forest has no bark beetles.

Update, November 2011: This last summer I went to the area and still did not see any sign of beetle invasion. Around the trapezoid area the forest is recovering from the fire of nearly 20 years ago and on those trees is the occasional limb showing signs of stress. On the latest Google Earth the trapezoid is still clearly visible; however, ten years ago you could make out the lines that the airplane took in spraying, and today those lines are blurred from the spreading healthy trees.
